The Starkville Story

In July of 2017 we were presented with an incredible opportunity to begin the process of launching our first multi-site campus—Starkville! Shortly after, we began a journey of team building with an incredible core group and devoted ourselves to prayer, planning, and preparing for our launch in 2019. Sean and Morgan Turnipseed began this process and led our Starkville campus through August 2020, moving to Brandon to pursue Sean’s lifelong dream of studying law. At that time, Matt and Christy Taylor stepped in, excited to build upon the foundation the Turnipseeds set in place. The church is growing and ministries are being added as the needs arise. It’s an exciting time to be a part of what God is doing in Starkville, MS, and we’d love to have you join us!

 Worship Services

Every Sunday our services begin at 10:00 AM. Feel free to arrive beforehand to enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks or to mingle with new friends! If you’re worried about how to dress, don’t be. You’ll see people dressed in many different styles—from jeans and t-shirts to button downs and slacks. There’s no need to feel like you have to dress outside of your comfort here. 

Here’s what you can expect on Sunday mornings at The Assembly. You’ll feel community immediately and welcomed into our church. We’re truly glad you are here! Our worship style is more contemporary with the occasional hymn sprinkled in. We choose our worship sets based on the sermon theme and songs that glorify God accordingly. The messages are delivered in person and are always true to God’s Word. We have multiple sermon series throughout the year that we believe help us to make wonderful application from the Word in our lives today. We can’t wait to worship with you!
